Your job is to work with and study about entities.

Oh, and also manage breached entities until containment can be made. Do keep in mind that not all entities will interact the same way with other entities. So you better watch out what is currently running amok.

You will need to take on more and more entities as the days go on. As per your re-evaluation test.

Research and learn about all the contained entities, and extract knowledge from them to create gadgets or gear.

Use the researched items to help you to complete your daily work quota, and mix and match what items you bring into work for the day. There are no item copy limits.

For now, lasting until the 10th day is most important, as access to your original living quarters will be granted when your re-evaluation completes. Maybe meeting your co-workers at the hub area will help.
