In the game, a large population is both the foundation of the kingdom's strength and a challenge.

The population can be used for conscription or arranged for production.

Maintain the kingdom's ruling power through soldiers.

Ruling power is the basis for the stability and high output of the kingdom; the more population you have, the more soldiers you need to maintain the kingdom's ruling power.

Population, lack of housing, unemployed civilians, rioters, and high war weariness will all reduce the kingdom's ruling power.

Respond to external kingdom challenges

Build fortresses, barracks, and other defensive structures to fend off threats from neighboring kingdoms.
