About game

(Demo releasing June 14, 2026)

Blightsilver is a story-rich deckbuilder card game featuring story-rich supernatural urban dark fantasy visual novel. The story will follows ordinary university students who get dragged into the hidden supernatural layer of the city, where they must fight using mysterious cards.

The card battle system of Blightsilver is a unique guess-and-hit opponent's hidden cell. The offensive player will have to choose their attacker wisely because once their ace-card is exposed, it will also be a stationary target for opponent. So they need to play a little mind game not to reveal all their trick under sleeves all at once. The defensive player can also bluff the attacker to fall into surprises they've crafted. Under a tension of battle, each player can also 'Union summon' a powerful card exchanging for high crystal cost and exposing more information to opponent, which gamble their last stand.

Nex Crowmont

  • A 20-year-old, perpetually exhausted university student who coasts through classes on heavy sighs and zero effort. He’d rather spend his days napping and avoiding any thoughts about his future. Despite being good-for-nothing, he is a fair person and always has empathy for other people. He can become intolerant if someone (or something) disrupts his perfect bubble of peace and balance.

:::::::::::::: CARD GAME RULES ::::::::::::::

Objective

  • Both players have 25 face-down cards on 5x5 grids. Each player must command their Unit cards to guess and hit opponent's face down card. Up to two units can be commanded per turn.

  • Once a unit card is hit and destroyed, the owner of the card pay crystal cost. The stronger the unit is, the higher the cost they have to pay.

  • Win the battle by reducing your opponent’s crystals to 0, or by destroying all of their Unit cards or Union cards.

Card Types

  • Unit Cards – Your attacking units. Each unit has 'Cost'. You have to pay cost if one of them get destroyed.

    There are 7 affinities : Divine / Chaos / Arcane / Nature / Bio / Cosmic / Anima

  • Trap Cards – Defensive cards that activate upon getting hit.

  • Tech Cards – These card will not be on the grid, but they will be on your hand as a 'trick up the sleeves'. You can use only one tech per turn. 3 of them is allowed

  • Union Cards – Powerful "fusion" units. You can union summon once per duel. You have to know 'formula' to summon them. Some of the formula requires unit to stand in correct formation.

Before battle (Setup Phase)

  • They place cards into any cell and in any order they like on their personal 5x5 grid

  • There shall be 8-12 Unit cards and 4-6 Trap cards

  • The unoccupied cell will be populated with 'dead end' cell that does nothing if opponent hit it.

  • If you want to Union Summon, you might have to carefully place card in correct formations

  • After all players finished setting up their grid, all card will be flipped face-down.

  • You opponent will never know what's underneath.

  • Enters the battle phase

Battle phase

  • On your turn, if you are an active player, you can do any of these actions

    - Command up to two units to attack

    - Use tech card once per turn. Tech that might help turn the tide of battle such as 'scan opponent's cell' or increase ATK of all units. Be careful, some tech required crystal cost.

    - Place a 'bluff' icon on your grid to mess with your opponent

    - Union summon (you have to place correct units on correct formation according to the formula)

Reckoning

  • Once a unit attacked a target, a 'battle calculation overlay' will show up. This is called 'Reckoning'. It will determine attack power (ATK) or defense power (DEF) of units from both side

  • Attacker use ATK. Defender use DEF

  • Attacker with more ATK wins against defender with less DEF. Defender will get destroyed

  • Attacker with less ATK loses against defender with more DEF. Attacker will get destroyed.

  • If the Attacker has ATK equals to the defender's DEF, both unit get destroyed.

  • Some buff/debuff will also take place in Reckoning (unit's ability)

Defending

  • The inactive player is called 'Defender'

  • Once your unit card get hit, it will be flipped face-up permanently (if it survived the hit, of course)

  • You can't turn card face-down ever again

  • A face-up card is called 'Exposed' card. The exposed card will be seen by opponent.

Traps

  • Hitting a trap card will trigger various effect such as decreasing ATK or freezing that unit from attacking or destroy that unit

  • Be careful, some trap required crystal cost (the owner of the trap pay the cost upon triggered.

  • Once a trap get triggered, it will be gone. So it can only be triggered once.

End Turn

  • If you end the turn without doing anything, the game will considered you 'skipping the turn'

  • Skipping the turn will cost you some crystal tax

  • The tax will increase every time you skipped the turn

  • So please do not skip a turn.

Crystals

  • Each player will start with 5,000 crystals

  • The crystals will be used for various mean such as paying for tech, paying for trap, paying when a unit is destroyed

  • Once the crystals reach 0, that player lose the game
