About game

The right sound, at the right time.

Audictrl is a lightweight desktop companion that lives in your system tray — it automatically switches your background audio based on the window you're using, the weather in your city, and the time of day.

Whether you're into ASMR or just like having some background sound on while you're at your computer: set your rules once, and let it handle the rest.

🎧 What it does for you

Open a novel or reading app → soft background music kicks in automatically

Open a work app → your focus audio or a podcast starts playing; step away and it auto-pauses, come back and it picks up right where it left off

After dark → it switches over to sleep-friendly music / ASMR

Rain in your city → rain sounds roll in; skies clear → nature ambience takes over

For the mischief-minded → when a certain friend's chat window pops up, fire off all kinds of ridiculous sound effects

✨ Key features

Mix and match three trigger types: app window · time · weather

Regex window-title matching — target a specific app, or even a specific person you're chatting with

Auto-pause + resume — switching away never cuts the audio, switching back never restarts it

3-band EQ + playlists (in order or shuffle) — tune it to your ears

Light / dark themes + multiple accent colors, in English and Chinese

🪶 Nimble & lightweight

Around 2 MB of RAM while it runs in the background

The settings window opens and closes instantly — the rest of the time, only a tiny tray process is running

📂 About the audio

Audictrl is a player and automation tool: you bring your own audio files (local MP3 / WAV / FLAC / OGG) and pair them with rules. You supply the sounds — Audictrl just plays the right one at the right moment.

And Steam Workshop support is coming in the next update.
