Fog'n'Silence
About game
Lead a group of Vagrants through the surreal open world of the Afterlife. Observe their journey through the eyes of a drone operator. Hide from blind monsters. Avoid malicious fog. Embrace the Cycle. Survive. Escape.
Fog'n'Silence is a slow-paced exploration-oriented adventure that blends survival, resource management, stealth, puzzle-solving, RPG elements, and timeline-based tactical combat.
EXPLORE AN EVER-CHANGING WORLD
Freely travel on foot in any direction across the vast expanses filled with impossible structures, anomalies, environmental hazards, and isolated settlements. Meet weird characters. Gather rare and valuable supplies. Uncover fragments of hidden stories and piece them together.
Observe the world through the directly controlled camera drone. Scout the horizon from above, descend for a closer look, investigate suspicious objects, and guide the Vagrants through hostile terrain.
Exploration rewards curiosity, but the world is never safe. Unpredictable weather, altered laws of physics, blind monsters, and baleful fog that mutates flesh and distorts minds can quickly turn a promising expedition into a disaster.
KEEP THE VAGRANTS ALIVE
All expeditions begin with a group of three Vagrants. Each has their own strengths, weaknesses, passive abilities, equipment, as well as various physical and mental traits.
Manage their:
Health, hunger, stamina, and sanity
Injuries and negative status effects
Weapons, equipment, and limited space in their backpacks
Position within the group and role during exploration
During the journey, it is possible to recruit new Vagrants, pack animals, machines, and other secondary units, gradually turning a small group into a strange-looking caravan. They're scattered across the world that rarely stays the same for long, so, of course, first you need to find them.
A larger group provides more skills, tools, and carrying capacity, but it also consumes more resources, produces more noise, and becomes harder to manage.
EVERY SOUND HAS A COST
Lowlands covered with fog are not empty. The fog is inhabited by Shells, hostile, blind creatures with an unnaturally sharp sense of hearing. They investigate footsteps, gunfire, operating machinery, and any other suspicious sounds.
All the actions Vagrants make, and almost all of the equipment they use, produce noise. Smart sonars reveal nearby points of interest, turbines temporarily push back the fog, metal detectors discover buried valuables - every tool creates new possibilities, but also new risks.
Move carefully, control the group’s noise level, use distractions, and choose your route before something hidden in the fog notices you. Avoiding confrontation is often safer than winning it.
PLAN YOUR ACTIONS ON THE TIMELINE
When confrontation becomes unavoidable, take control with the timeline-based Combat Sequencer. Study the intentions of your enemies, assign actions to Vagrants, arrange their movements, attacks, and special abilities on a shared timeline.
After the Planning Phase, in which time stops, both Vagrants and their enemies execute their actions simultaneously. Positioning, coordination, interruption, and precise timing matter more than reflexes. A well-planned sequence can eliminate a threat before it has time to react, while a single mistake can cause the entire plan to collapse.
LEARN FROM EVERY EXPEDITION
Fog'n'Silence is built around repeatable expeditions through an ever-changing open world.
Death may end the current journey, but the Knowledge you uncover survives. Learn how the world and its inhabitants behave, complete quests, build relationships, gather bits of information to fill the Compendium, and accumulate Knowledge to unlock new possibilities for future expeditions and make Vagrants stronger.

The world changes.
The Tower remains.
And every failed escape attempt teaches you how to travel farther next time.
