About game
You are a fading ember, descending a collapsing tower. Every run is a fresh plunge into chambers teeming with shadow creatures — carve through the horde, forge a loadout from evolving weapons and passives, and push as deep as the dark will let you. Permadeath is harsh, but Skill Points and hero unlocks persist between runs, so every death makes the next ember burn brighter.
⚔️ Fight together — online co-op
Host a room and invite Steam friends straight from the overlay, or share a code. You fight one shared horde, your fire stacks toward the same kills, and when a friend falls you can revive them before the tower claims you all. Each player levels their own hero — bring your own build to the fight.

8 heroes, each unlocked by depth, with a distinct mechanic and skill tree — Wizard, Vampire (lifesteal + HP decay), Necromancer (minions), Pyromancer (burning trail), Stormcaller (auto static bolts), Chronomancer (time-dilation), Sentinel (hit-blocking bulwark), Reaper (Harvest stacks + Death Mark).
19 weapons, each with a branching evolution — max a weapon, pair the right passive, and choose its evolved form. Bolts, orbital spikes, chain lightning, singularities, meteors, plague auras, turrets and more.
11 passives that reshape how everything fires, stacks, crits, and leeches.
10 relics — stacking in-run artifacts torn from elites and caches — and the Overcharge meter: fill it with kills and erupt in a screen-scouring nova.
A post-boss Supply Cache to spend hard-won shards, and a branching node map each biome band — pick your route: combat, elite, cache, or boss.
🌀 No two chambers play alike
Room twists ambush your route — SWARM floods, TITAN packs, elite patrols, FRENZY, and shard-drenched GOLD RUSH rooms — all paying up to triple rewards.
Affixed elites — Shielded, Volatile, Vampiric, Frostbound, Summoner — each telegraphed, each demanding a different answer.
8 Trials: opt-in run curses whose reward multipliers compound — stack all eight if you dare (≈×8.6 the payout, if you live).
🏆 Goals worth grinding for
A 65-contract Challenge Board across 11 categories — every contract pays permanent Skill Points and shards, from first-blood milestones to sub-20-minute clears, one-weapon wins, and Ascended-difficulty conquests.
The Ember Forge: sink banked shards into 8 ranked permanent upgrades — including level-up rerolls.
The Daily Descent: one seeded attempt per day, same tower for the whole world, a rotating featured hero, daily & weekly Steam leaderboards, and streaks that stack contracts.
