Hito's World
About game

Hello, I am Hito and I am... an ideogram?! How did this happen? I think I am lost too! Everyone around speaks a language I don't know, look:

Hey she seems nice, she might help me understand something about this world! Maybe if I type back the words I learn.... mmmn can you help me with that?
Her grandpa is talking from the other room, he keep saying that in this world there are:
More than 1300 words
More than 2300 lines of dialogue
More than 250 recipes for building / crafting / cooking
Living biomes with animals, plants, resources and towns
Original music
Ok, ok... I am starting to understand. People here speak multiple languages. So when I talk to them I can choose between:
Japanese using either romaji, hiragana or kanji
Chinese including pinyin and hanzi writing system
English
And more to come!
Uh? What is this? Do you want me to read it?
Let me see...
Some quick notes about the way languages are displayed within the game:
The ideograms to render the objects are picked among the ones most relevant within the word
Similar dishes are translated using the most popular version in the selected language, for example dumplings are translated in Japanese as "gyouza" and in Chinese as "jiaozi"
Some expressions are translated literally to keep the feeling of the target language, like in Japanese where "itadakimasu" is translated as "thanks for the meal" instead of "bon appetite"
At present Japanese and Chinese dialogues use only basic counters
Only informal speech is available at the moment
There are also specific settings available depending on the device you are using:
The ability to use voice commands works only on Windows and mobile at present, not supported on Linux
Fireworks?! Is there a festival?
Can we go?!?! ...Pleeeeeeease!
P.s.
The dev told me the full release will be in 2028 but playtests will be opening soon, see ya!
