About game

1530. Your brother Varnak took everything from you through sorcery: your throne, your family, your life. Now, armed with a sword, dark powers, and an incomplete spell book, you must venture into deep medieval dungeons, through hidden passages and combat arenas, to gather its lost pages, summon demons, and master the dark arts. Varnak won't stand idle.

1530. The King of Nordhal has lost everything.

His brother Varnak, consumed by ambition, used sorcery to curse him: no throne, no family, no legacy. Now he lives as a hermit in the forest... until he discovers an ancient spell book hidden inside a mine. An incomplete book that describes how to invoke demons, spirits, and Lucifer himself.

To reclaim his vengeance, he must venture into a dungeon filled with traps, puzzles, and creatures sent by Varnak. Every recovered page brings him closer to power, and closer to the abyss.

Combat

Sword in hand, carve your way through relentless enemies. Dodge strikes and projectiles, and unleash ice balls, fireballs, and daggers as you master the dark arts.

Loot & Map Actions

Killing enemies doesn't just drop loot, it can open distant doors, disable traps, or trigger remote switches. Eliminate groups of the same color and type to unlock powerful rewards.

Level & Progression

Power up your sword and spells through an inventory-driven progression system. Collect colored objects to increase damage levels and multipliers, the stronger you become, the deeper you can go.

Magic

Collect white objects to unleash powerful area spells: freeze or incinerate multiple enemies at once. Manage your charges wisely.

Exploration & Discovery

Non-linear levels shift between labyrinthine maps full of secrets and open combat arenas. Pull levers, find keys, and trigger remote actions to unlock hidden areas, sometimes across entire maps.

Rituals

Invoke ancient demons in ritual chambers. Each summoning unfolds as a dark ceremony, name, mantra, demand, and dismissal. Make sure you have the right book pages first.

Doors & Levers

Doors and levers are a core concept of the game. Many doors require crossing entire maps to find the right lever or key, whether to access a crucial item or unlock entire areas of the map.

Traps

Steel blades and floor spikes. Triggered by proximity, each follows a timing pattern, learn them or face the consequences. And watch your step: acid pools and lava pits.

Exploration

Non-linear progression that may require revisiting previous levels to obtain key items. Maps alternate between labyrinthine zones focused on exploration and open areas of intense combat. As you advance, levels grow increasingly intricate and complex.

Spell Book

Find the book's lost pages throughout the game. Each page reveals demons you can invoke in ritual chambers, and the complete book, readable from the inventory, instructs you in demonology and invocations.

Enemies

Different enemy types with varying attack and defense levels, further classified by color within each type. They don't chase you, but they spot you at all times and react with ranged or melee attacks depending on your proximity.

Boss Battles

Two colossal bosses await at the end of level 5 and level 10. Demons of immense power and hierarchy, defeat them to obtain essential items needed to progress.

Difficulty

Medium to high difficulty with a high level of replayability. Luciferian doesn't forgive, every decision counts.

Game Experience

No zoom, no perspective changes, the map reveals itself as you explore it. Luciferian is an ARPG where escaping each level is the goal, but combat, power progression, and item collection are the heart of the game.
