Ecliptica
About game
Ecliptica is a first-person science fiction sandbox set in an ancient, self-organizing world. You and your colony are alien organisms. After a long flight, the colonists have lost the memory of their origin, retaining only their intelligence and thirst for profit. Now you must take root on a planet that existed long before your arrival and is ready to protect its resources from uninvited guests.
COMMUNITY ECONOMY AND DELEGATION
At the core of your colony lies a fair economic model where every survivor is an autonomous market participant.
Personal Gain: Residents seek their own ways to survive, assess risks, and spend their earnings on development. They do not follow scripts—they are driven by harsh necessity.
Contract System: Any task—from perimeter security to resource extraction—is formalized as a contract. You can perform them personally or delegate to your subordinates, managing processes like in a global strategy.
Autonomous Management: Assign an NPC manager to control facilities. They will take over micromanagement: hiring staff, adjusting prices, and distributing tasks, while you focus on expanding deeper into the planet.
ADAPTIVE QUEST SYSTEM
In Ecliptica, the story is not forced upon the player but grows organically from the state of the world:
Procedural Contracts: Generated instantly as a reaction to events in the simulation. If there is a shortage or a threat at a station, the system creates a contract to solve the problem.
Contextual Storytelling: Deep stories and side quests are activated only when a suitable situation arises in the world. The story becomes a natural continuation of your actions and random events in the world.
EXPLORATION AND LANDSCAPES
The planet holds traces of ancient eras, hidden in the massive and contrasting scenery of your new home:
Dense Jungles: Zones oversaturated with alien life, where every step could be your last and visibility is limited by thick vegetation.
Endless Plains: Vast open spaces ideal for large-scale construction and trade, but leaving your colony defenseless before the eyes of predators.
Rocky Highlands and Craters: Difficult vertical landscapes hiding rare resources and abandoned complexes of those who were here before you.
Expeditions: Assemble squads for sorties deep into the territories. This is the only way to find technologies to strengthen the colony and learn the truth about the world you have arrived in.
BIOLOGICAL EXPANSION AND CONFLICTS
You are aliens, and the local fauna perceives you as an alien threat:
Living Ecosystem: Creatures hunt, breed, and wage their own wars. You can pit species against each other or become an accidental victim in their struggle for living space.
Territory Capture: Enemies actively build nests and expand their range. Their expansion is not background, but a real process that can destroy your economy and settlements.
TECHNOLOGICAL FOUNDATION

Thanks to our own game engine based on Qt Quick 3D, Ecliptica supports a fair simulation of thousands of objects and NPCs without performance loss. This allowed us to combine complex physics, deep economics, and large-scale biological expansion into a single seamless experience where you are just one of the forces trying to survive on an ancient planet.
